We built TheBenefitsCalculator.co.uk after seeing how many tools ask for your name, address, and email before they'll even tell you what you're entitled to. We don't. There's no login, no database, no analytics tied to your inputs.

FAQs

Common questions.

Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us.

Is this benefits calculator free?

Yes — 100% free, forever. We're funded by unobtrusive ads, not by selling your data. There are no premium tiers.

Do you store my personal information?

No. Every calculation runs inside your browser using JavaScript. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or saved between visits, unless you choose to use our local-only "save my answers" feature, which uses your device storage only.

Are you affiliated with the government?

No. This website is an independent benefits calculator and is not affiliated with HMRC, DWP, GOV.UK or any government department. Our results are indicative estimates only.

Which UK nations are supported?

England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We use UK-wide rates and flag where devolved schemes (such as Adult Disability Payment in Scotland) replace the equivalent reserved benefit.

How accurate is the estimate?

We use the latest published 2025/26 rates. Real entitlement depends on a full DWP assessment, your local authority's Council Tax Reduction scheme, and individual circumstances we can't see. Treat our number as a starting point.
